Job Title: Floating Secretary
Location: West Yorkshire
Full-time, Permanent
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
Job Overview:
My clients are looking for an experienced Float Secretary to join their team to provide administrative support to their departments. The ideal candidate should be highly organised, proficient in IT applications, possess excellent communication skills and have audio typing experience(1 year preferred).
Areas to cover - Family, Care, Commercial Property, Civil, PI & Wills and Probate
Responsibilities :
1. Organise and maintain legal documents and case files
2. Type correspondence and legal documents accurately
3. Communicate with clients, solicitors, and court personnel
4. Manage schedules and appointments for legal professionals
5. Conduct audio typing of dictations
6. Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
7. Utilise software applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel effectively
8. Reception Cover
Requirements:
9. Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role
10. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
11. Proficiency in IT applications including Word processing and Excel
12. Strong communication skills both written and verbal
13. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
14. Experience in audio typing
