Job Title: Fleet Engineer
Duration: Until 31/01/2025, with a possible extension
Location: Crewe
Working Hours: Fully onsite, 35 hours per week, between 8 AM – 5 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Planning & Definition: Collaborate with Technical Project Managers to advise on and support the planning and specification of vehicles for each project.
* Coordinate Vehicle Usage: Maximise vehicle utilisation and optimise transport requirements while ensuring adherence to security protocols.
* Vehicle Issue Resolution: Address concerns raised about vehicles within the business and ensure timely updates.
* Disguise Strategy Management: Source and implement vehicle disguise strategies.
Key Competencies & Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of financial limits within the area of responsibility.
* Excellent communication skills across various forums and levels.
* Ability to influence and guide colleagues.
* Strong problem-solving skills for addressing cross-functional issues.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and the ability to conduct risk assessments.
* Proficiency in German is highly desirable.
Skills & Experience:
* Familiarity with vehicle road-worthiness and legislative requirements in relevant countries.
* Advanced knowledge of design and development, testing and measurement, engineering drawings, and relevant software tools.
* Familiarity with the Product Emergence Process (PEP).
Qualifications:
* An engineering Degree or equivalent is preferable.
* Membership in a relevant professional institution and Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
Health & Safety:
* The Fleet Engineer will ensure compliance with local Health & Safety policies and procedures to maintain personal and team safety.
