Mainland Ford, part of the Trotman Auto Group, is seeking someone familiar with auto body estimating and repairs to join our team About the Role: The Auto Body Collision Estimator inspects vehicles to provide repair estimates, follows guidelines to determine damage extent and repair costs, and creates estimation repair orders and documents. Who You Are: Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Body Shop Estimator and proven track record with ICBC License : Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. Skills : Technical knowledge of Body Shop parts and repairs Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service with a desire to exceed expectations. Computer Skills : - MS Office applications, Outlook, familiar with DMS/CRM software (PBS, CDK, MPI or similar) What Your Day Will Look Like: Diagnose and Estimate : Listen to customer descriptions, inspect vehicles, and conduct road tests to diagnose issues. Provide accurate repair estimates. Review and Discuss : Enter itemized estimates, review with customers and insurance companies, and explain repair feasibility. Customer Communication : Maintain rapport by explaining estimates, arranging towing, and providing regular updates. Documentation and Tagging : Ensure vehicles are tagged and documented upon service entry, including key tags with full details. Inspection and Payment : Perform visual inspections before service, handle payments, and review invoices with clients upon completion.
