The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week during term time only (39 weeks per year) The actual salary for this position is from £26.188 to £29,854 per annum.What does this job do?Leading the Heights Plus provision within school, including setting targets, reviewing pupil's progress and ensuring interventions are implemented.To promote the inclusion of all pupils by developing their communication skills, supporting and mentoring as required to help them manage their behaviour, developing independence and social skills. To work closely with the Assistant Head Teacher to plan bespoke interventions meeting the needs of all pupils who are placed in internal inclusion to support them to make continued progress and receive feedback on their learningTo provide mentoring support and challenge in order to overcome barriers to learning, including in relation to behaviour and attendance.Responsibilities Include:Leading the Heights Plus provision within school, including setting targets, reviewing pupil's progress and ensuring interventions are implemented.Analyse pupil performance information to identify and target individuals and groups in order to intervene/provide support and challenge and to monitor improvements. Assessing the needs of pupils and using detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils' learning.Provide support for pupil's emotional and social needs by encouraging and modelling positive behaviour in line with the School's Behaviour Policy.What are the job requirements?Experience of working with children in an educational setting Experience of working with children with behavioural concernsAbility to deal with and respond calmly and promptly to incidents, safeguarding issues and challenging behaviour, in accordance with role and responsibilities.Ability to foster positive relationships between children/young people and with other adults and to recognise and encourage resolution of issuesAbility to undertake cover supervision for whole classes or small groups About The Heights- Burnley:We are a 5-16 Alternative Provision School.
