As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students with special educational needs and disabilities receive the personalised support they need to succeed. These roles will be within Bedfordshire and surrounding villages, and can be day-to-day supply, part-time and full-time contracts to suit your personal requirements. Key Responsibilities: Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND, both inside and outside the classroom. Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students. Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported. Implementing behaviour management strategies and techniques to promote positive behaviour and engagement. Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies. Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to the class teacher to inform ongoing interventions and adjustments. Qualifications and Requirements: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities preferred. Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special education (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs. Ability to adapt to the individual needs and learning styles of students.
