This opportunity provides a structured role with clear progression and training from the department leads, giving the candidate a full understanding of the role of a Quantity Surveyor and the wider business, building upon their commercial awareness and skillset.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Support project delivery, ensuring work is completed on or ahead of schedule and within budget.
2. Assist with pre-construction activities such as pricing, payment terms, and contract documentation.
3. Work with sub-contracted installers, managing payments and contract agreements.
4. Handle day-to-day contract administration, including payment applications, variations, and notices.
5. Collaborate with the finance team to manage cash collection and commercial risks.
6. Prepare Monthly Cost Reports (MCR) and contribute to value engineering and cost management.
7. Monitor and report on project costs and progress throughout the lifecycle of each project.
Required Skills & Experience
1. Strong commercial understanding and financial skills, including budget control and cost reporting experience.
2. Experience in contract administration and record keeping.
3. Ideally experienced in the construction, contractor or manufacturing sectors.
4. Full UK Driving Licence and a car.
5. Degree qualified in a relevant field is but not essential.
