Job Purpose To provide a high level of service and financial advice to existing clients of Nedbank Private Wealth International whilst operating within a closely regulated regime and complying with NPW policies and procedures. The role holder is responsible for managing and maintaining a portfolio of private clients with a view to protecting and enhancing the value of those relationships. Responsibilities & Duties Act as relationship manager for a portfolio of private clients, taking responsibility for all aspects of a client relationship with the bank. Provide a high level of service regarding banking, investments, wealth planning and credit including cross sell of services offered by the bank and the wider group. Act as the main point of contact for the client with NPW and be responsible for sourcing and collating their needs from within or outside of the group and managing these needs. Demonstrate proactive development of existing private client relationships with a view to enhancing the value of existing relationships. Proactively promote NPW including networking and attending relevant industry events. When necessary, travel to visit existing clients to maintain and manage the client relationship with a view to protecting existing business. Deliver financial, investment and lending advice to clients that is compliant with NPW policies and procedures. Complete annual client reviews and lending renewals for your portfolio of clients in a timely fashion. Achieve financial targets as set out annually in support of overall business strategy. For lending clients, assist the Lending team with managing any risks that the Bank faces as a result of providing finance. Undertake regulated mortgage calls with prospective lending clients. Assist with the development of others within the business as required. Undertake such tasks as may be required by the business from time to time. Undertake continuous professional development in accordance with professional institute and regulatory. requirements and keep up to date with developments within the industry, complying with the Bank’s Training and Competency policy. Skills and Experience A proven track record of providing financial advice to private or high-net-worth clients in a regulated environment. Demonstrable success in building and maintaining trusted client relationships and achieving client growth and retention targets. Strong knowledge of investment products, lending solutions, wealth planning principles, and financial markets. Experience managing a client portfolio with a holistic understanding of both onshore and international wealth structuring considerations is desirable. Clear understanding of regulatory frameworks and experience working to high standards of governance and compliance. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities that align client needs with business goals. Comfortable working with complex client scenarios, multiple stakeholders, and delivering tailored, client-centric solutions. Technologically adept, with experience using CRM systems, financial planning tools, and Microsoft Office applications. Able to work independently and proactively manage workload while also contributing to a collaborative team environment. Qualifications Relevant RDR compliant Investment qualification minimum level 6.
