Minster is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for an Operations Manager (Warehouse/Transport) who's as passionate about great service as we are.
Hours – 7.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday
Location: Minster, 127 Craighall Road, Port Dundas, Glasgow, G4 9TP
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a team of 4 Warehouse Operatives and 5 Drivers
* Ensuring all team members are prepared and ready for their day
* Running the transport operations for the branch - load planning and delivery routes
* Supporting the Branch Manager with operations: driver and warehouse staff health and safety compliance
* Directly supporting the warehouse team with preparing and loading/unloading orders when necessary (forklift training provided)
* Providing an excellent level of service for all customers
* Checking incoming deliveries and reporting missing or damaged products
* Maintaining stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts and producing reports on stock management for the branch
* Keeping the branch looking clean and tidy and making Health & Safety a priority
* Working with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

Required Skills and Experience:
* Previous industry experience is beneficial
* Experience within warehouse and transport management
* Confident in a hands-on, sometimes physical role
* Flexible with a positive can-do attitude
