An Electrical Design Engineer is required to join an innovative state of the art Aerospace Company on Permanent basis that specialises in products primarily for the Aerospace and industry. The Electrical Design Engineer will preferably have technical expertise and Electrical experience in an aerospace environment. The Electrical Design Engineer duties will include producing electrical systems design schemes and detail drawings that meet company, regulatory and customer requirements. The Electrical Design Engineer will report to the Chief Electrical Engineer or Principle Electrical Engineer and this is a great opportunity for career progression and stability. Duties of the Electrical Design Engineer - Responsible for the design and detail modelling of a variety of suite components in order to meet the program requirements. - To produce designs to meet specified cost and weight targets. - Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and suppliers. - Participate in Design Reviews of the New Product Introduction process. - Selection of materials and processes appropriate to each design element. - Ensure the successful integration of each design element within the product. - Follow and contribute to the development of the Best Practice guidelines - Check engineering packages - Must be prepared to undertake tasks outside of their normal duties if required. - Participate in the validation and prototyping of the products. Requirements and Experience Electrical Design Engineer - Qualified to a minimum of HNC or an equivalent qualification in an Electrical Engineering. - Possess a minimum of 2 - 3 years demonstrable experience. - Preferably hold experience of CAD/CATIA V5 electrical work bench preferred. - Aircraft knowledge. - Understanding of the effective application of tolerances. - Working knowledge of manufacturing processes. - Knowledge of OEM installation requirements. - Competent communicator. - Ability to establish good - working relationships across the departments. - An effective team - player.
