Neonatal Transitional Care Associate Nurse Band 4
We are excited to provide an opportunity for a Nurse Associate to join our dedicated neonatal transitional care team. We are a transitional care unit within the postnatal ward that is commissioned to take 8 cots. You will be an integral part of this collaborative environment as a member of the neonatal team.
You will assist the neonatal nursing staff in the neonatal and transitional care units by providing individualised, family-centred care to infants until they are discharged. The successful candidate will work alongside the neonatal and postnatal teams. You will primarily work on the Transitional Care Unit but will also have the opportunity to rotate to the neonatal unit and work alongside the inpatient maternity team. You will play a crucial role in helping to provide care for the infants with their mothers, through routine observations and assisting doctors when needed.
The successful implementation of an NTC program depends on effective collaboration between community, midwifery, neonatal, and paediatric teams. Therefore, it is crucial that you can work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and ethnically diverse team.
This role will play a key role in the ongoing provision of quality NTC services at the Trust, focusing on the needs of both mother and baby. This practice is in keeping with our philosophy of family-centred care in the maternity unit.
