Radley College is inviting applications for the role of Teacher of Maths from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a successful and innovative department within a friendly and collegiate school community. Mathematics is extremely strong at Radley. Single Maths is a popular choice at A level and Further Maths is also extremely popular. The successful applicant will have a significant share of Sixth Form work. We have high expectations of all students, and we support them to achieve their potential.
An experienced teacher seeking a move into a strong department will find there is plenty of opportunity for responsibility and career development. We have also had much success in inducting those who are new to the profession. Thus we also welcome applications from those who are just finishing their studies. Such appointees would start on a reduced teaching load and would be closely supported by the Head of Department.
Radley College is committed to the highest standards of professionalism and quality in our teaching, and can provide opportunities for teacher training and development. We have an increasingly diverse pupil intake and we are looking to increase diversity within our Common Room. We therefore encourage and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Some of our staff joined Radley straight from university, others after taking a PGCE. Some had taught in independent schools, others had not – and some had not taught before. For some, teaching has become their second (or third) career. There may be opportunities for those who don’t have teaching experience to gain a PGCE during their time at Radley.
This position comes with accommodation which is free of rent, council tax and water rates, a competitive salary scale and many other staff benefits.
A willingness to be fully involved in the extra-curricular life of a busy and thriving boarding school is essential.
