Job Description:
Autism Support Worker - Wareham
Here at Autism Unlimited we run a dedicated adult services programme in which we are currently looking to recruit for one of our care packages in the West. We are looking for a mature individual who is spontaneous, fun, adaptable and proactive to join our community team in Wareham.
You would need to hold a full Driving license and have access to your own vehicle to be suitable for this role.
The role:
Jack is in his early 30s. He likes long country walks, days out to Paultons Park, and enjoys a musical theatre show. He also enjoys quiet days staying inside watching Disney films, listening to music, or sitting and reading a book.
Jack has an established routine and he requires staff who are confident in providing him with a safe and supported environment. Jack is non-verbal and his preferred method of communication is with PECS boards, and he relies on staff supporting him with this, so he is able to have choice and control of his daily life.
