We’re now looking for a PDI Technician / Improver to join our busy workshop. This role is perfect for a Junior, or someone early in their engineering journey who’s ready to learn, develop, and grow – with full training, real support and a clear route to becoming a qualified Construction Plant Service Technician.

Duties:
Based at our workshop, you’ll play a key part in supporting our team by preparing our full range of excavators and similar construction plant for our customers – making sure each one is safe, compliant, and built to specification.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Pre-delivery inspections of construction plant such as excavators
· Basic servicing and fluid checks, ensuring machines are ready for handover
· Visual and functional checks on hydraulics, electrics and mechanical systems
· Fitting attachments and accessories
· Testing operator controls, lights, and safety functions to ensure compliance
· Completing checklists and inspection paperwork accurately
· Supporting the wider service team with workshop-based tasks as required
Requirements:
· A strong interest in engineering and construction plant
· Mechanical knowledge gained form similar machines or transferable mechanical equipment
· A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
· A full UK driving licence
