Cost Manager
Salary: £40-70k DOE

A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for a Cost Manager for an established consultancy. Our client has a network of 6 offices and this is your chance to join their Nottingham office.
Our client has a busy project pipeline with numerous secured schemes with repeat clients. This opportunity represents the structured and planned growth of the business, offering a unique role for the successful professional to join an office with a healthy pipeline of work.
The majority of the work will be new build industrial and logistics with a small amount of refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed cost estimates and analysis for construction projects within leisure, residential, and industrial sectors.
2. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets and client requirements.
3. Collaborate with procurement teams to secure tender pricing.
4. Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact project costs.
5. Liaise with clients to understand their budgetary constraints and provide cost-effective solutions.
6. Monitor project expenditures and provide regular reports on financial performance, including the agreement of final accounts.
7. Lead and mentor junior cost management professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
The Successful Applicant:
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in cost management within industrial or residential (new build or refurbishment).
3. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Proficiency in relevant software applications such as MS Excel and Cost-X.
7. Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
