Job Title: Sentinam Programme – Planner
Working Pattern: 37 hours days
Working location: Raynesway Derby
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planner to join the Sentinam Programme team, reporting into the Head of Pumps Capability based at our Raynesway facility in Derby. We support the Royal Navy as the technical authority to the UK Ministry of Defence for naval reactor plants and we're continuing to build our nuclear sector capability. In this key position, you will take responsibility for the creation and management of schedules that reflect the work required to deliver the New Product Introduction (NPI) workstream, the Equipment and Layout workstream and the new test rig workstream required to deliver the step change in RRSL pump capability. As part of the programme team, you will lead the APly planning process and maintain the business planning system for the assigned work scope. You are required to interface with the work scope stakeholders to monitor and control work through the project lifecycle using the integrated planning system providing accurate and timely management information.

What you will be doing
* Responsible for the creation and management of an integrated set of Level 2 plans/schedules that reflect the resource, primary cost and timeframes required to deliver the Sentinam Programme.
* Actively facilitate the development and ongoing maintenance of the project schedule by establishing a programme plan update standard diary working with the project team and key stakeholders, to ensure that a credible schedule is created and maintained using the integrated planning system.
* Establish, develop, and maintain the documentation necessary to deliver the package of work.
* Provide information necessary to make management decisions to the key stakeholders.
* Review MRP data as part of the prep for the live plan updates.
* Ensure maintenance and control of the schedule baseline.
* Organise and chair schedule review meetings and report areas where executive decisions need to be made.
* Lead the change management process for the package of work including Baseline Change Requests (BCR).
* Develop/implement Project Management best practice in line with company management processes.
* Facilitate and coordinate Risk & Opportunity activities.
* Ensure effective controls are implemented in accordance with the company management procedures.
* Report the status of projects/project portfolios in accordance with the requirements of the project.
* Manage and report variances to project baseline and report project Key Performance Indicators.
* Review project data, identify and report trends, highlight anomalies and propose corrective action if performance is outside specification.
Who we’re looking for:
* Degree or equivalent Continuous Professional Development and experience.
* Project Management experience, showing an understanding of a project lifecycle, risk management, cost management and planning.
* Experience of SAP MRP and production environment is advantageous.
* Previous exposure to a customer-facing role is desirable.
* Experience of developing schedules of work using Primavera P6.
* The ability to work with minimum supervision to deliver results and to work in ambiguous situations, whilst working to tight timescales and achieving quality outputs on time.
