The Safety Argument Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
Manage the overall SA ensuring its upkeep by liaising with all contributors to ultimately produce Safety Argument Reports. (NUC 1.2 AC17)
Maintain configuration control of evidence using a Master Evidence Record. (NUC 1.2 AC14)
Authoring of SA status reports and the oversight of SA-related action progression.
Maintain configuration control of individuals that are authorised/assigned to assess claims.
Compilation of the CBS-owned claims, supporting argument and underpinning evidence with its assessment determined by a number of individuals clearly delegated to do so.
Be familiar with the evidence required to fully justify claims / arguments.
Monitor the status of the evidence in the context of Service Experience and identify any matters that might challenge (counter evidence) the validity of the claim(s).
Assure the evidence set to ensure proactive risk management.
Assure the substance of the arguments and supporting evidence provided by AORs and Safety Enabling Areas.
Expose gaps in knowledge or evidence (counter evidence) to challenge the argument(s).
Assist in the recommendation of the 'parent' claim if it has (or has not) been achieved (Using BGAR assessment criteria).
Train claim owners on the SA and its management (including tool used for the SA).
Provide advice to the AOR Safety Managers on the compilation of their CAE construct.
Demonstrate that there are effective supporting processes.
Maintain the linkages between arguments and evidence artefacts.
Retain an audit trail of changes to evidence and claim responsibility.
Provide SA management assurance.
Produce and update the Safety Argument Report.
