This is a full-time position, working term-time only (39 weeks per year).
We have Learning Centres at all of our Weston-super-Mare campuses, and you could be based at any of our sites.
Day to day of the role
As part of the Learning Centre team, you will:
Provide outstanding front-line services within learning centres that are flexible and responsive to the needs of the learners and curriculum staff under the Weston College Group.
Support learners and staff in accessing and using a range of resources, including books, e-books, magazines, journals, online resources, and bookable technology.
Ensure all learning centres resources are accurately processed through cataloguing, accessioning, withdrawal and stocktaking.
Contribute toward the delivery of workshops and individual support to develop study and research skills.
Provide support and guidance for basic digital skills.
Contribute to an outstanding customer experience and promote Learning Centre services and facilities to all learners and staff.
Required skills and qualifications
Confident competent user of digital resources and technologies.
Minimum one year customer service or library/resource centre experience.
Positive, flexible, and responsive approach to working as part of a team within a vibrant working environment.
Highly accurate data entry skills.
