Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking innovative team. The cohort of patients the CNS Team manage are those with chronic stable malignant or pre-malignant conditions and non-malignant haematology conditions, all of whom need monitoring via blood tests over their lifetime.
The successful candidate will lead their own telephone clinics as well as work alongside the consultant team. Support and in-house training will be offered for the successful candidate.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Practice autonomously demonstrating expert problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills while demonstrating accountability and responsibility (NES).
2. Assess, manage, deliver, and co-ordinate the plan of care for patients utilizing effective and efficient use of resources.
3. Undertake investigations driven by protocol and within your competence.
4. Interpret results and act accordingly.
5. Apply advanced skills, knowledge, and behaviours relevant to specific areas of practice (NES).
6. Provide specialist, expert clinical knowledge to clinical colleagues, patients, and carers/relatives.
7. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and direct care/interventions and evaluate effectiveness (NES).
8. Delegate the delivery of care where appropriate in line with NHS Wales' delegation framework and NMC Code of Practice (2018).
9. Undertake clinical sessions in a variety of clinical areas across SBUHB.

* Registered Nurse and current NMC Registration.
* Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
