The primary responsibilities of the Slot Analyst are to develop metrics, visualizations & reporting to determine best practices and recommend data-driven strategies related to various Slot Operations initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:
* Preparing all necessary paperwork related to the planning, configuration and placement of slot machines, conversions, moves and any other slot related projects.
* Under the direction of the Director of Slots, the Slot Analyst builds machine configurations setups, progressive configurations, and creates and maintains slot master entries.
* Reviews and interprets Slot Par Sheets, Regulatory Letters, and Customer Notifications.
* Consults with the Slot Technical team as needed, to ensure accuracy and the meeting of deadlines.
* Perform accurate data entry and regularly assigned system audits.
* Prepare all necessary paperwork required to execute Slot moves, conversions, installs, removals, and slot related projects.
* Perform Konami CMS maintenance and ensure accuracy of KCMS reports.
* Perform monthly audit of Slot Master file.
* Maintain and produce slot analysis reports, including monthly Master Slot File.
* Analyze slot performance and provide supporting data and recommendations.
* Creates reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations regarding floor mix of slot machines, hold adjustments, and new game availability to consistently maximize the profitability of the gaming floor.
* Provide vendor with performance data using indexed analysis.
* Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to the state and federal laws and the Virginia Lottery Board regulations.
* Builds machine configuration setups for replacements, conversions, and any slot related changes.
* Creates and maintains slot master entries for machine replacements, conversions, moves and any slot related changes.
* Builds Progressive Configurations for machine replacements, conversions, moves and any slot related changes. Updates and maintains progressive tracking files.
* Reads and interprets Slot Par Sheets, Regulatory Letters, and Customer Notifications. Seeks answers for vendors as needed. Works closely with Slot Performance Manager and Technical team to meet project deadlines.
* Performs minor ad hoc reporting and information querying.
* Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
* Must be 21 years of age or older.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Two or more years related experience.
* Have core analytical skills and strong critical thinking.
* Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office Professional software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft SQL Server, Access, and Excel.
* Knowledge and experience with Slot Player Tracking, Casino Management and Casino Marketing Systems.
Practical knowledge in accumulating and integrating data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
Experience in the use of computer systems including database systems, software, data retrieval methodologies and quantitative analysis.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Enthusiasm and positive attitude.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
The ability to successfully interact with all levels of team members and management.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
Available to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Previous experience as a gaming and/or casino analyst preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
* Gaming license/registration as required by the Virginia Lottery.

Physical Requirements:
* Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
* Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
* May be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
* Ability to work in a noisy and smoky environment.
* Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
