Purpose: This role supports the Facilities & Stores Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Head Office and company residential property, to meet company and statutory requirements. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, high-standard environment that reflects the company’s brand, while delivering essential services to employees and visitors. A proactive approach to upholding best practices and continuous improvement is key to success in this position. Role Responsibilities: Support and accurately record daily and weekly statutory testing and checks, including daily counterbalance and mobile equipment, weekly Fire alarm tests and logging outcome, weekly water temperature logging & flushing tests, Ladder log inspections, First Aid inspections, Fire extinguisher inspections, CoSHH and Racking inspections. Carry out stores and despatch duties, including logging goods into the online portal, and ensuring parcels are correctly boxed and labelled for deliveries. Conduct Toolbox Talks for contractors attending site, ensuring all Health and Safety documentation is accurately completed as well as providing support and supervision to contractors during on-site activities. Carry out general repairs, including painting, plumbing and maintenance of the the premises. Maintain building fixtures and furniture as needed along with p orterage small equipment and office supplies as required. Preparation & maintenance of meeting rooms, including setting up seating and general tidying and housekeeping. Stock take cleaning products / delivery packaging and submission of order to the Manager. Raising of Purchase Orders (using IFS) and r eceipt of purchase orders upon completion of works. Ensure daily replenishment of stock for drinks machines and manage the ordering of related supplies needed. General maintenance of surrounding facility and residential property which includes gardening, litter picking, cable / drum relocating. Weekly sweeping and cleaning of non carpeted areas to maintain high standards. Perform office moves and furniture reconfiguration as and when necessary. Provide a cleaning service to all areas falling outside the remit of cleaners. Coordinate all company archiving and log as well as support team administration and ordering. Unlock main yard gates & Fire doors from 7am. Carry out induction tours for all new joining staff / long term contractors. Support Facilities team in any other reasonable requests this will include: Holiday cover for some aspects of Facilities & Stores Manager role (additional hour work will be required for each day of holiday). Ordering of stationery, supplies, meeting catering, office fruit and company meetings etc. Perform monthly meter readings of facility and residential property and submit to Manager. To assist Facilities & Stores Supervisor as directed and cover as required. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required: Articulate, literate, numerate, with excellent communication skills. Ability to prioritise and organise own work as a team player and remain customer focused. Flexible, reliable and capable of working on own initiative. Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Good practical skills to work with hand and power tools. Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Willingness to learn. A valid driving license is required or the candidate must be actively working towards obtaining one. Ideal: Hold current counter balance and reach fork lift truck licences (Not essential training will be provided after 1 year employment).
