Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) within the Specialist Hub Team to work full time based in Hillingdon.
The salary for this permanent AMHP job is up to £56,000 per annum.
Main duties:
* To ensure, as far as it’s possible, that the resources of the department and other statutory and voluntary organisations are effectively mobilised where relevant.
* To demonstrate understanding of the Council’s Customer Care Standards and ensure that these standards are met in order to deliver the Council vision of “putting our residents first”.
* To provide supervision for trainees or staff, other than social workers when required to do so.
* No direct supervisory responsibility; however, may be required to assist in the induction and training of peers and new employees.
* Required to supervise Social Work trainees or non-social work staff and AMHP trainees.
* Working with either the Older People’s Service or the adult mental health team, he/she will, with supervision and advice, care coordinate/care manage a caseload of service users within the Care Programme Approach policy or Lead Professional Care and practice guidance for Hillingdon.
* They will undertake the tasks of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of action or treatment, negotiating for and co-ordinating the application of resources and seeking modification of attitudes or behaviour when required.
* The caseload will include the most vulnerable service users or those with the most complex problems and he/she may be expected to accept responsibility for action in relation to the safety of service users, their carers or others in emergency situations.
* They will undertake the tasks of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of action or treatment, negotiating for and co-ordinating the application of resources and seeking modification of attitudes or behaviour when required.
* The employee will operate as an Approved Social Worker under the Mental Health Act 1983, adhering closely to the requirements of the Act.
* To contribute to departmental research into the agency functioning and current service user need if required. To undertake training in the Department’s Protocol I.T. system which will equip the staff member with the required skills to enter referrals directly onto the system and maintain care packages on their personal data.
* Complete other reasonable tasks in order to fulfil role purpose or as instructed by management.
Requirements of this AMHP job:
* A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Continual professional development.
* Social Work England registered.
