Are you an experienced Estimator looking for an exciting opportunity in the maritime sector? We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join a growing tender team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and high-profile marine projects, involving activities such as dredging, coastal defences, land reclamation, and offshore installations.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Carefully review tender documentation to fully understand requirements and ensure completeness.
2. Conduct site visits and research sources to gather critical project data.
3. Develop creative, cost-effective solutions that enhance the competitiveness of tenders.
4. Obtain, assess, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
5. Utilize in-house expertise and external networks for soil evaluation, risk management, and legal aspects.
6. Work closely with senior management to determine pricing strategies and mitigate risks.
7. Prepare and submit clear, detailed documentation, methodologies, and contractual clarifications.
8. Support the Project Team post-award to ensure seamless execution and effective preparation.
9. Conduct site visits post-project to evaluate efficiency, deviations, and areas for improvement.
10. Maintain and exceed safety and operational excellence standards.
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience in marine projects within the UK and/or Irish markets.
2. Strong understanding of NEC, ICC & FIDIC contract frameworks.
3. Proven ability to manage tender processes and engage with clients and subcontractors.
4. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet strict deadlines.
5. A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
