The role is responsible for maintaining compliance internally at TalkTalk and acts as the point of contact between the Approval Body (BSI) and TalkTalk. Responsibilities include managing audits, coordinating reviews, feedback, and actions from those audits, and managing any non-compliances or deficiencies identified Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, this role is responsible for providing 2nd line of defence assurance over the effectiveness of processes and controls in place for ensuring compliance to the Metering & Billing Direction and supporting the business in meeting their M&B obligations through engagement with stakeholders. The role will be based in Manchester with travel to other TalkTalk sites as required to fulfil the role. Key Responsibilities Support the business in attaining and maintaining Ofcom Metering & Billing certification as defined within the Direction through provision of guidance and advice and through ongoing assessment of compliance. Ensure all regulatory requirements are met as TalkTalk’s Ofcom Billing Accuracy Programme Manager (OBAPM). Ongoing monitoring, auditing and control effectiveness testing of processes in place for supporting compliance with the Direction. Provide compliance assurance to management through reporting of outcomes of monitoring and testing. Identify root causes for control break down or non-compliance and agree management actions including process changes to address. Track and report on timely implementation of management actions. Collate, analyse and verify Metering & Billing information across the Group as required. Promote business ownership and accountability for operating in accordance with regulatory requirements. Support the formal monthly reporting to be submitted to the relevant Approval Body (BSI) assessors/auditors. Ensure reporting accuracy and completeness and engage with the relevant stakeholders at the approval body to ensure reporting meets expectations. Respond to data and information requests from regulatory bodies. Support Ofcom M&B Compliance Manager in co-ordinating necessary collation, analysis, verification, formatting and reporting of the data. Maintain subject matter expertise over metering & billing and provide all necessary guidance, support, collaboration and liaison on metering & billing with both internal and external stakeholders. Influence stakeholders to promote the metering & billing agenda. Work with the business to facilitate the identification of key metering & billing risks, to drive a risk appraisal programme for identifying risks and ensuring accuracy of billing. Advise the business on necessary monitoring controls for overseeing these risks. Liaise with the TT Regulatory Affairs team to co-ordinate participation in relevant forums on the direction and responding to Ofcom consultations when required. Support the business in engaging with any external audits as they occur. Work collaboratively with the Internal Audit and Risk & Compliance teams to deliver integrated audits and insight with the objective of providing assurance over controls by forming an overall assessment of the control environment for the area or process audited.
