About the role
We are looking to recruit a Peripatetic Cook, to join our Catering team, in and around the North Ceredigion area, on a permanent basis.
You will be expected to manage the school kitchen on a day-to day basis according to the standards laid down by Ceredigion County Council.
The role includes:
1. General kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
2. To prepare and serve meals to residents and pupils
3. Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times
4. Ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
On a day to day basis you will:
5. Undertake the preparation and serving of meals
6. General kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
7. Setting up the tables and clearing if required
8. Recording the temperature of food at the point of service
9. Ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
10. Ensuring EEC standards on Manual Handling
11. General Health and Safety of kitchen including hazardous equipment
