Relief Social Care Assistant
Hours are offered on an as-and-when required basis
£15.20 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate
We are seeking to recruit relief Social Care Assistants who are highly motivated towards providing high quality services to older people in our extra care facility. You will be required to undertake tasks as delegated by senior staff, but also need to be able to use your own initiative at times. The post requires adherence to Care Standards and Codes of Practice as well as a positive attitude towards optimum fulfilment of older peoples’ quality of life.
Previous experience in social care is highly desirable. You should hold an SVQ 2 in Health & Social Care or other relevant qualification to enable registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care Home Service for Adults or be able to achieve this within 5 years.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
