Our client is a food manufacturer who produce a wide range of Artisan baked products and are currently looking to recruit a Baker to join their team on a permanent basis. As a baker you will be preparing and bake baked goods, such as bread, cakes, and cookies within a manufacturing operation. On a day to day basis you will: Prepare ingredients: Measure, weigh, and combine ingredients using mixers and blenders Prepare dough: Knead, roll, cut, and shape dough Prepare baking sheets: Fill pans, molds, or baking sheets with dough Bake: Set the oven temperature and place the baked goods in the oven Decorate: Use icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance the presentation of the baked goods Test: Test the ingredients and finished goods to ensure quality and food safety Display: Display the baked goods Maintain cleanliness: Keep the work environment clean and organized Process orders: Process customer orders efficiently and carefully Greet customers: Greet customers and answer their questions Ideal candidates will have previous bakery experience ideal with breaded products however we would also consider anyone who has worked within a Food Manufacturing environment who would like to learn to be a baker. Food Hygiene and HACCP knowledge are essential for this permanent role with eth ability to work as part of a small team
