:
1. To carry out scientific and technical tasks within the Microbiology Quality Control Department in an effective and efficient manner.
2. To perform routine laboratory procedures; may oversee work of others within the section.
3. To prepare technical documentation within the department, as the need arises.
4. To train others, as required.
5. To ensure that all personal lead times are aligned with, subject to there being no attenuating circumstances.
6. To support and lead projects in the department.
7. To develop and validate laboratory procedures.
8. To review analytical and laboratory data for accuracy, completeness and compliance with documented procedures.
9. To communicate optimally with others on site and to participate with departmental and site wide problem solving .
10. To carry out other tasks as required from time to time.
11. Ensure cGMP is applied in their area of work and comply with cGMP in all areas of the business.
EH&S:
12. Understand emergency procedures and follow safe systems of work.
13. Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety and security policies and procedures, rules, signage and instructions at all times
14. Ensure timely reporting and investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
15. Degree in Applied Biology (with microbiology) or a closely related field / equivalent experience.
16. Shown experience in Pharmaceutical Microbiology.
17. Ability to work to critical timelines.
