In line with Matalan’s strategy of putting our customers at the heart of everything we do and in line with our ambition to be the 1st choice for value for Matalan families, you will support the Assistant Category Manager in optimising the customer offer, sales, availability and profitability of the Branded department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare Best & Worst and competitor trackers for trade meetings using BI and Ecomm Reports. Ensuring that all information is accurate before presented. Present in Trade meetings.
2. Conduct regular benchmarking of competitor ranges completing regular reviews, highlighting any price issues, missed opportunities or new products where appropriate.
3. Support Category Manager and Assistant Category Manager to manage the critical path ensuring the dept is in line with the deadline dates set.
4. Highlight up stream any potential issues that need immediate action.
5. Understanding the end to end marketing process and support the wider team with promotional/campaign briefs including Bynder training & asset management.
6. Build relationships with Tech Onboarding Team to understand the status of each suppliers set up and any blockers that may occur.
7. Work with suppliers to ensure range plans are up to date and systems are accurate for invoicing and customer facing price points.
8. Manage the end to end product launch approval process.
9. Regularly visit stores to ensure up to speed with wider business initiatives.
