Job overview
The Countywide Adult Speech & Language Therapy Team is looking for a newly qualified Speech & Language Therapist to join our friendly and supportive department. You will be a motivated and active team member with excellent communication skills.
This post provides an exciting opportunity to develop skills and knowledge across a general adult inpatient caseload as well as specialist skills in stroke rehabilitation. The post involves sessions within the acclaimed Stroke Unit at Northampton General Hospital.
The post holder will independently manage a caseload receiving and accessing support and supervision from senior colleagues and will be part of the Acute Stroke Team helping provide assessment and specialist rehabilitation to patients on the Acute and Hyper acute Stroke wards.
They will be assigned a mentor and aim to complete your NQP competencies within the first year. We promote attendance at bi-monthly countywide adult SLT meetings and specialist clinical forums. All staff are encouraged to become members of Special Interest Groups and we have a strong culture of clinical supervision.
