This is a full-time role based at our Springbank site in Macclesfield, working within a small team and reporting to the Materials & Planning Team Leader.
What the role looks like….
* Responsible for ordering materials using the MRP system as required
* Supplier management including quality and performance
* Resolving issues quickly and effectively
* Communication to Operational, Customer Service and Sales teams
A typical day in the job…
* Working closely with The Sales Office team, as well as other internal and external customers
* Working to and reporting on departmental KPl's
* The scheduling of Gradus Accessories raw materials finished goods and packaging.
* Working to agreed stock budgets and delivery requirements.
* Maintenance of the AS400 part numbers and structures, pricing, MOQ’s and Re-Order Points.
* Supplier coordination including the resolution of any active complaints.
* Support new product introductions and associated stock management.
* Provide product availability to the Customer Services Team to support delivery information.
* Train across all roles and support when necessary.
* Stock valuation, delivery performance and others
* Month end reporting
* Sourcing suppliers for one off requirements
* Co-ordination of delivery/collections of products to supplier
What we would like you to bring….
* Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
* Be able to build strong relationships with suppliers
* Good engineering/manufacturing production knowledge
* Previous negotiating and supplier management experience (would be an advantage)
* The ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
* The ability to work as part of a small team and Good IT skills are essential
