VACANCY REF HIS3164 SENIOR MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT BARNSLEY CONTRACT TYPE: PERMANENT HOURS OF WORK: MONDAY- FRIDAY SALARY: £45k-£50k DOE BENEFITS: WESTFIELD HEALTH CASH PLAN, EAP, CLOSING DATE: 2 ND MARCH 2025 A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant, to join our team. The role briefly encompasses the following duties: - Effective co-ordination of all finance functions. Management of cash flow reporting and bank reconciliation process. Deliver high quality regular reporting, analysis and insights to business, forecasts, budgets and business plans with no surprises. Identify key threats and opportunities and work with operational stakeholders to develop remedial actions to manage deviations from budget. Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining files to enable detailed monthly review by Head of Finance. Responsibility for producing overhead figures for monthly accounts, including posting accruals & prepayments and liaison with cost centre owners. Responsibility for statutory reporting, including CIS payments and submissions, along with VAT submissions to Group and ONS surveys. Finance lead in statutory audits. Developing reporting tools (particularly using SEI) as required. Key role in producing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Provide challenge to the business working closely with key operational stakeholders to deliver budget revenue and margin. Providing financial support to the Project Commercial Teams during month-end or other times, as required. Support the Commercials Teams with robust analysis of WIP management. Deputising for HoF when required, including at meetings. Mentor role for the rest of the Finance Team. Other ad-hoc duties specified by Head of Finance. Driving continuous improvement through system processes and management information across the finance function. Help to develop a professional, collaborative and multi disciplined team of finance professionals and trainees, ensuring they are motivated and measured against a set of written objectives. Ensuring Group reporting deadlines and intra group accounting dates are met. Encouraging innovation within the team and ensuring that development and succession plans are established. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:- Full accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). Minimum 5 years PQE. Strong IT knowledge, especially Excel and accounting systems.
