1792 - Advanced Physiotherapist Women's Health Continence
We are excited to be able to advertise for 2 advanced specialist roles in our pelvic and perinatal health team.
Following a restructure of our service and changes to national standards, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for perinatal and pelvic health physiotherapy who will help us to shape and innovate the service and create a centre of excellence. You will be centred on the patient and create an engaging service offer that is clinically effective and efficient, and improves the level of knowledge for service users and partners alike.
Main duties of the job
* You will provide a source of expertise for the treatment and management of incontinence.
* You will promote the role of pelvic health with service users and stakeholders in our service including representing the role at local, regional and national levels.
* You will carry out subjective and objective expert assessments, formulating diagnoses and treatment plans independently and in collaboration with the MDT.
* You will ensure compliance of your speciality with the therapies and dietetics clinical governance framework.
* You will provide leadership and management to your specialist team and across therapies and dietetics, acting as a role model, practising your profession with integrity.
* You will work with your line manager and your peers to lead, manage and govern physiotherapy with pride and innovation.

Person Specification

Experience
* Evidence of continual Professional Development and post graduate training in relevant area.
* Experience of Evidence Based Practice and Risk Assessment.
* Experience of working towards a masters in the relevant field or equivalent experience.
* Extensive post graduate experience, with a significant time working in a specialist area.
* Experience of audit process.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
* HPC Registered.
* Member of specialist interest group ACPWH.
* MCSP.
Knowledge and Awareness
* Advanced level of knowledge and physiotherapy skills in Continence & Gynaecological Out-patients.
* Awareness of NHS issues.
* Ability to risk assess and awareness of health and safety for own and others work area and caseloads.
* Good knowledge of confidentiality issues.
* Clear vision of role, commitment and development of speciality.
