Moorfields Eye Hospital is recruiting a highly experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join their exceptional pharmaceutical team within this specialist hospital.
Moorfields is the leading provider of eye health services in the UK and a world-class centre of excellence for ophthalmic research and education. Their clinical staff take great pride in providing high-quality care to their patients across their extensive specialist clinics, including their A&E department, Paediatric clinic, Retinal Therapy Unit, Cataract, Glaucoma, Genetics, and Oracular Oncology departments, among others. The hospital pharmacy provides a comprehensive service to all Moorfield’s clinics, with around 95% of hospital patients receiving essential clinic, discharge, or private prescriptions before they leave the hospital.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Pharmacist seeking a challenging role to work closely with the hospital’s clinical staff to ensure patients receive the most appropriate medicine, advice, and information. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to advance their skills by preparing medicines directly utilized on the wards and will oversee the essential functioning of the hospital dispensary. Important Requirements:
* HCPC Qualified
* At least 6 months previous experience in NHS Pharmacy in the last 3 years
* An empathic, caring approach to patients
* Robust clinical knowledge, integrity, and a proactive approach to work
* Strong initiative and commitment to mentoring talent, acting as a role model and resource to junior staff
* Good leadership skills
* Excellent administrative, verbal, and written communication skills
