Your ability to stay calm, consistent, and apply effective behaviour management strategies will be key to their progress.
2. Provide Engaging and Tailored Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons that engage students with varied abilities, ensuring your teaching methods are adaptable to meet the diverse needs of the class, particularly those who struggle with focus and engagement due to behavioural difficulties.
3. Implement Positive Behaviour Strategies: Use proactive behaviour management strategies to create a safe and supportive environment where students can focus on learning and grow emotionally and socially.
4. Support Social-Emotional Development: Help students build emotional regulation, self-awareness, and social skills by working closely with SEN staff and the pastoral team to address the root causes of their behaviour.
5. Track Progress: Monitor individual students' academic and behavioural progress, using assessments and observations to adapt your approach and provide feedback to students and parents.
