Associate Planning Director (Wind Energy)

We are looking for a motivated Associate Director of Planning to establish and lead a new office in Glasgow. This is a unique opportunity to spearhead expansion in Scotland, with a strong focus on the onshore wind sector.
Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Lead planning services on strategic infrastructure and renewable energy projects, managing project programs, budgets, and teams.
* Business Development: Proactively secure new business opportunities in Scotland, focusing on the onshore wind sector.
* Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong client relationships and prepare competitive bids for new projects.
* Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and support a growing team of Senior and Junior Planners.
* Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and undertake stakeholder engagement.
* Policy Expertise: Stay up to date with planning and energy policies and best practices in Scotland and the UK.
Requirements:
* Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
* At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in the onshore wind sector.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the Scottish planning system.
* Proven track record of managing a variety of planning applications in the renewable energy sector.
* Strong commercial acumen and the ability to secure and manage new business opportunities.
* Demonstrable success in leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects.
* Full, clean UK driving license.
