Salary: £35,692 Per Annum.
Job Description
To manage production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with QA and safety standards. To be a role model for best practice at all times, and provide support to Line Leaders where appropriate.
Production Operations & Customer Service
* To provide leadership for the site production teams
* Lead the implementation of the Operational Strategy
* Ensure compliance to Company and Legal requirements of H&S and Quality
* Liaise with other key departments regarding production plan and ensure the plan is met
* Effectively plan and manage labour resourcing against production plan to meet customer requirements
* Ensure production process efficiency targets are communicated, owned, targeted and delivered. e.g. labour and waste
* Attend customer review meetings when required
* Liaise with internal departments ( Warehousing, Transport etc.) providing effective communication of production requirement
* Fully utilise systems available to drive Continuous Improvement in all areas of the Operations
Health & Safety
* Conduct risk assessments
* Attend the companies health and safety meetings, providing feedback as necessary
Management Responsibility
* To liaise with agency controllers, providing feedback regarding agency staff to both the agency and HR
* To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post
Colleague Management
* Conduct disciplinary and grievance hearings in accordance with the companies procedures, and taking guidance from the HR manager when necessary
* Conduct and take part in performance reviews – including setting KPI’s for Controller and Team/Line Leader
* Assist the HR and Training managers in the formulation of training and development plans for current staff and new starters
* Coach, support and mentor colleagues within the department and support the development of an empowering culture
Qualifications
Qualifications
* Relevant management qualification (or be willing to undertake) management/team leader experience
* Desirable Level 2 Food Safety qualification or above
