Role Information
The Plant Coordinator will:
* Integrate successfully with the existing business, relevant departments and staff
* Have a flexible approach to work load
* Demonstrate good Microsoft Excel skills
* Hold a clean and current driving license
* Be prepared to travel throughout the UK
Purpose and Objectives
Provide the enthusiasm and energy to ensure that we successfully fulfill our objectives and long-term strategy. The key objectives of the role are to:
* Be responsible for the day-to-day management of all plant in the company
* Provide accurate reporting in line with company requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
The role is focused on achieving results in a consistent manner to a defined quality. Specific duties will include but are not limited to:
* Manage the control of all plant in the most cost-effective manner in line with the business needs
* Provide analysis, planning, scheduling, and coordination of plant movement within the business and maintain records for the purchasing department
* Consolidate records for owned plant within the company and keep accurate records including service/calibration records where necessary
* Maintain all plant in a timely manner to ensure all planned maintenance and calibrations
* Work within the procurement team on general day-to-day requests for hire and purchasing
* Perform general admin duties consistent with plant hire and purchases
Personal Qualities & Experience
* Construction-related background working for principal contractors
* Experience of plant hire/off hire is essential
* Experience working in a busy and fast-paced environment
* Previous experience working for a multi-site organisation
* Strong communication skills
* Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Experience in a similar role
