This is an exciting time to join Secure Care Services at Northgate Park, Morpeth due to developments within the service.
We are looking for a motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurses with excellent values to support adults with complex needs in a secure care setting.
You must have excellent communication skills, be reliable, and punctual, leading the team with the ability to adapt/respond to changing situations. We currently have a band 5 registered nurse opportunities within Linhope Ward at Sycamore, the ward provides treatment for men who experience complex mental health issues who either have offended or displayed offending type behaviour, and pose a significant danger to themselves or the public.
As a team, we use Structured Clinical Management as our main therapeutic approach. The successful applicant will receive full training and be provided with an opportunity to develop and progress their assessment and treatment skills in a supportive environment.
Main duties of the job
The Service offers a range of treatment programmes, which incorporates a wide selection of needs-based individual and group treatments. These specific therapies are reinforced by a consistent environmental behavioural approach, which encourages individuals to display a positive outlook with respect to themselves and those around them.
