Golden Handshake* Practice Nurse (We would consider trainee RN)
Birchwood is looking for a nurse to join our fab team! Sadly, one of our recent recruits has had a change in personal circumstances and cannot start as planned. Full or Part Time considered - but please do look at the hours as you must be able to do 7am starts!
Ideally, you will be able to carry out venepuncture, wound management, immunisations, diagnostics such as ECGs, and cytology and chronic disease reviews.
However, we recognise there are so many transferable skills and would also welcome applications from community or secondary care nurses who would like to take the step to General Practice. We are particularly keen to hear from those with a background/expertise in either wound care, respiratory care or minor ailments/injuries.
There will be the opportunity to develop skills in chronic disease management e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular and renal conditions. You may already have these skills, in which case we would still love for you to apply!
We are flexible and looking for 15 to 37.5 hours over to include EITHER a Mon/Friday (not both unless you want to!) We require 7am session start times in the practice OR late finish 8pm to support Improved Access requirements once competent. We would be happy to support working from home for a late finish or early start if preferred once fully competent in role.
We are offering a golden handshake of up to £2K (DOE) to the successful experienced candidate - terms and conditions will apply to this payment.
