About the role:
We are looking for a motivated, qualified and skilled lawyer to work on a diverse range of commercial matters relating to property, procurement, contractual and information legislation matters.
The Council has some exciting and significant projects ongoing and in the pipeline including regeneration projects and projects supported by UK Levelling Up funding. Legal Services provides support to all Council services on a diverse range of transactional matters. The successful candidate will provide advice on procurement law and potential challenges, have knowledge of commercial legal practice, risk based decision making and experience of collaborative working.
You should be a confident, skilled and enthusiastic lawyer with a positive commercial approach. You must be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister holding a current practising certificate, or a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives or equivalent.
Training and development will be provided in areas where the successful candidate may have less experience.
