We are recruiting for a Central Intelligence Officer to join a dedicated and well-established team on a permanent basis. The role of Central Intelligence Officer can be challenging and fast-paced but is very rewarding, with full training and development opportunities available.
About the Role
To provide a range of core specialist support.
To ensure all systems are correctly managed in accordance with manufacturers, force, and national guidelines.
This is a challenging but rewarding role and acts as a great introduction into the world of Intelligence. Full training and tutoring will be provided to the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team of Intelligence professionals responsible for the organisation's response to Intelligence sharing and bespoke Intelligence searches. They will be expected to comply with the relevant legislation, Home Office guidance, Force policy, and Intelligence guidelines.
This particular vacancy will be located at Police operational HQ, Winchester.
Once in post, the successful candidate will need to complete an Intelligence portfolio as well as additional Continuous Professional Development.
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
* To act as a central point of contact for any external requests from other Law enforcement or government agencies, conducting detailed research for the purposes of informing internal strands with clear and concise product.
* To assist operational planning with clear, concise, regular products to inform risk when authorised by the CIO line supervisor.
* To provide ANPR research to assist operational policing with detailed hotlists and intelligence products.
* To provide ANPR assistance to ongoing investigations as authorised by the CIO line supervisor.
* Work closely with the ANPR manager to ensure camera positions are strategically aligned to the needs and current intelligence requirements for Hampshire Constabulary.
* To co-ordinate the documentation and effective preparation of the DMM, WTM, Writers meeting, Pre-TCG, and Force TCG. When appropriate advise when operational themes arise from those meetings.

Essential Qualifications
Essential: Educated to QCF Level 2 (5 passes) OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
To be computer literate.
Essential: Knowledge and understanding of relevant law, criminal investigations, and criminal justice processes.
Experience working under pressure, which includes handling complex, confidential, and sensitive data.
