Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen at Weston Hospital for an experienced team leader to join the Patient Access Team and support in managing a centralised team of circa 20 administrative and clerical staff who are responsible for the delivery of both inpatient and outpatient services. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the administrative and clerical processes within the Access team to enable a high quality, effective and focused services to be delivered. Leadership skills, excellent communications skills and being able to work with all levels of staff are crucial, with the ability to remain calm under pressure to meet deadlines. The post holder will be expected to organise and prioritise own workload as well as manage a team of circa 20 access staff, always ensuring the continuity of services. Motivational skills are essential to encourage collaborative working to improve services and performance where there may be resistance to change and to ensure that the patients receive the highest level of care through the set processes within the Access Team. The post holder will also need sound knowledge around booking policies and procedures, RTT and NHSE wait time targets. Main duties of the job Prepare, analyse and clearly communicate regular performance reports to the Access Team Manager, including demand and capacity metrics, waiting list size, backlog and referral levels.
