Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will support students in their learning and personal development, helping to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored educational support to students.
* Provide one-to-one and small group assistance to pupils with SEN, including those with ASD and behavioral needs.
* Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
* Help students develop key skills such as communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
* Contribute to maintaining a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to provide holistic support to students.
* Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and training sessions.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior as required.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and behavioral challenges, is highly advantageous.
* NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or an equivalent qualification) is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of every child.
* Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the varied needs of the school.
* A basic understanding of SEN interventions and behavior management strategies.
