The Civils & Infrastructure Team at Ford & Stanley is excited to be partnered with a leading civil and structural engineering consultancy that specializes in delivering structural investigations, inspections, testing, and asset management services across various sectors. Operating on projects throughout England, Scotland, and Wales, they are looking for Trainee Technicians to join their team, offering you the opportunity to engage in technical tasks and investigations while working alongside expert surveying specialists.

As a Trainee Technician, you will be involved in a variety of exciting projects, working across multiple sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, educational, and healthcare-based buildings. What You’ll Do

* Nationwide Travel: Travel across the UK to various projects, experiencing different locations and structural challenges.
* Use Cutting-Edge Equipment: Work with the latest industry technology and tools to conduct detailed surveys and inspections.
Location
* Candidates must be within a commutable distance of the Chesterfield and Ilkeston offices.
* Projects and clients are based nationwide, meaning you will be required to work away from home throughout the week, including occasional overnight stays.
* Defined routes for progression with clear targets to help you grow in the role.
* Company Vehicle to support travel to and from sites.

Criteria to Interview
* Entry-level experience or a desire to start a career in civil/structural engineering, construction, or a related field.
* Solid understanding of building fabric/building surveying (desirable).
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel nationwide.
* Numerical and literacy skills for data analysis, report writing, and documentation.
* Ability to work away from home during the week as required.
* A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and develop.
