Job summary The post holder will support the General Manager in the day to day operational and performance management of the Cancer business unit. You will provide effective leadership contributing towards the achievement of the financial forecast and delivery of contracted activity, to implement local / national policy / strategy and deliver service development. Main duties of the job To be responsible for the management of the identified part of the Business Unit, including but not limited to, ward areas, assessment units, outpatient areas, day case, administrative areas and supporting the General Manager to lead on projects. building relationships with our system partners To ensure the delivery of key performance targets within the service area as agreed with the General Manager. To develop and implement systems for monitoring demand, trends and ensuring staffing levels are appropriate for the demand level.
