Role Overview
We are looking for talented individuals to join our Finance team at our Actuation UK site. This is a great opportunity for you to broaden your personal development, experience exciting challenges, and build the foundations of your career.
The challenges start on day one, as you will have the opportunity to build a deep knowledge of business imperatives and operational issues. The Finance function is a site-based team that works closely with all areas of the business to deliver our strategic priorities with solutions linked directly to aerospace leadership using best-in-class Finance practices.
Responsibilities
Upon joining the team, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
1. Completion of monthly financial control processes such as journal and spreadsheet checks
2. The preparation of monthly accounts, including completing tasks on behalf of both the financial accounts and management accounts functions
3. Preparation and ownership of assigned balance sheet reconciliations
4. Assist with reviewing cost reduction activities, monitoring progress and inclusion in P&L, with all departments aligned
5. Assistance with Sarbanes Oxley self-assessment audits & documentation
6. Work with the programs, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to create a financial bid model through to completion
7. Ad hoc projects where required
As part of the apprenticeship, you will complete Level 3 Assistant Accountant (AAT). To support your learning, the apprenticeship programme is well structured to ensure a broad depth of knowledge and the opportunity to gain real practical experience.
