Job summary Band 7 Digital Midwife 37.5 Hours An exciting opportunity to work as a Digital Midwife at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has arisen. You will lead on all aspects of the use and development of the maternity information systems, support the use of digital technology within the Maternity Department and be responsible for ensuring that clinical practice, supported by digital technology, meets professional standards. This will be done through the provision of clinical expertise, professional direction and effective leadership. Duties will include the day to day management of the electronic maternity records system, the production of statistics for both local and regional dashboards, staff training, close working with staff to ensure that they are supported with inputting data and working collaboratively with both the local and regional multi-disciplinary teams and the external systems providers. Your role will include supporting the process of monthly reports of KPI and cross checking of data to ensure accuracy. You will be responsible for monitoring the quality of data within the maternity electronic records and identifying areas for improvement, leading on the implementation of improvement plans. Main duties of the job As part of the Maternity team, you will have responsibility for all aspects of the use and development of the maternity information systems. You will co-ordinate and provide IT education, training and have overall responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of data within the service. You will work closely with staff to ensure that they are supported with inputting data correctly. Your role will include supporting the process of monthly reports of KPI, the maternity dashboard and cross checking of data to ensure accuracy. You will work with members of the multidisciplinary team within the hospital and community venues, including midwifery staff, medical staff, coding, contracts, business informatics (BI) and IT. You will deliver information based on current evidence based research.
