All About You
* Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography, with HCPC registration.
* Mammography Accreditation: Hold a Certificate of Competence in Mammography (or equivalent qualification).
* Experience: Previous experience in mammography and general radiography, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a larger radiology team.
* Patient-Focused: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care and reassurance.
* Attention to Detail: Proficient in conducting mammographic examinations and ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic clarity.
* Commitment to Standards: Dedicated to upholding clinical governance and quality standards in mammography, with knowledge of safe practices in radiation protection.
* Professional Development: Eager to enhance skills and contribute to departmental audits and initiatives for quality improvement.
What Will You Be Doing?
* Performing high-quality mammographic imaging to support early breast cancer detection and patient assessment.
* Ensuring diagnostic images meet clinical standards for clarity and precision, adapting techniques based on patient needs.
* Assisting in the assessment, preparation, and positioning of patients for mammograms, maintaining a compassionate and professional approach.
* Working closely with radiologists, clinicians, and other radiography team members to deliver efficient, coordinated patient care.
* Observing and implementing health and safety protocols and best practices for radiation protection.
* Contributing to departmental quality assurance activities and audits to promote service excellence.
* Participating in training and mentoring sessions, both as a learner and as a guide for junior team members.
