Trainee Solution Architect
This role offers career progression and on the job training allowing you to specialise as a Technical Pre Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect
Permanent, full time role offering £30 000 - £36 000 + benefits + discretionary bonus
During initial 6 months role will be onsite everyday, for the purposes of training and shadowing
After this period, it will be hybrid 2-3 days with occasional travelling to clients
Position Overview
As part of exciting expansion, we’re seeking someone to be trained and specialise as a Pre-Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect. This Cyber Security Specialist company providing Hardware and Software (SaaS) Network filtering solutions. and you will be responsible for supporting Sales teams on the technical side.
This role is for someone already experienced in networking and Linux looking to advance their career.
They will prepare for you hands-on training programme to help you build the skills needed to evolve into a Pre-Sales/Solutions Architect role. Working closely with their experienced Technical teams, you’ll provide support to the sales team, prepare technical demonstrations, and work with clientele in high-stakes industries such as defence, critical national infrastructure, and finance.
Responsibilities:
-Support the sales team in the technical side of the Hardware and SaaS products including, preparing tech spec, participating in technical scoping, and creating Proof of Concepts (we will teach you)
-Provide remote and onsite consultancy to clients, delivering product demos, or workshops on how solutions works and how to use it
-Work directly with sales teams to understand client needs, assist with technical requirements, and ensure seamless collaboration.
-Participate in post-sales activities, offering ongoing support and technical workshops for clients during onboarding.
What do you need to be successful?
-Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP communications protocol and Ethernet networking in general.
-Knowledge of LINUX: Proficiency in using command-line to carry out system configuration and basic networking tasks.
-Being comfortable with meeting with new people everyday, with the ability to confidently engage with clients in various settings.
-Work Authorization: Valid UK work authorization and full UK driving license.
-Willing to: undertake UK Government Security Clearance
Not essential, but nice to have skills:
-Knowledge of scripting: with Bash scripting or Python, or JavaScript is advantageous.
-Microsoft Ecosystem: Familiarity with the Windows OS and ecosystem.
