This exciting new business based in Billingham is looking for a dynamic and proactive Finance Assistant to join the team. This is a brand-new role, offering the unique opportunity to shape and implement new systems and processes from the ground up.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities:
* System Implementation: Develop and implement new financial systems and processes to streamline operations.
* Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
* Sales Invoicing: Manage the sales invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
* Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making.
* Purchase Ledger: Oversee the purchase ledger, including processing invoices and managing supplier payments.
* Credit Control: Monitor and manage credit control processes to ensure timely collection of receivables.
* Payroll Administration: Administer a small monthly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in a similar finance role.
* Proficiency in using XERO accounts package.
* Strong understanding of financial processes and systems.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
